Department of Physics was established in the year of 2011.The Department of Physics at Dayananda Sagar Academy of Technology and Management (DSATM) focuses on providing foundational and advanced knowledge in the field of physics. It serves as a basic science department, particularly for engineering students, offering courses that are integral to understanding the principles of various branches of engineering.
Applied Physics is typically taught in the first year for students of various engineering disciplines. The curriculum includes theoretical and practical aspects of physics. The department is equipped with laboratories that allow students to perform experiments related to the physics curriculum. Students gain hands-on experience in measuring physical parameters, understanding material properties, and applying physics principles.
The Department is also collaborated with industries, academic and some professional bodies. The research activities have resulted in Publications in peer reviewed Journals including patents. The member of faculty is awarded with several national and international conferences, members in the national and international scientific advisory committee, and reviewers of many international Journals. Regular seminars, guest lectures, and workshops might be conducted to help students stay updated with the latest advancements in the field of physics and its applications in technology and engineering.
