REPORT ON STUDENT ACTIVITIES

1. Inter College Project Exhibition-2019 in association with CSI Bangalore Chapter was organised on 13-05-2019. The event was inaugurated on 10.00am by lightning the lamp followed by tape cutting by Dr.C Nandini, Vice Principal & Head of the department, Chief Guest/ Judges Raju Gowda, , Hon. Treasurer CSI Bangalore Chapter and Dr.Chaya Devi, Associate Professor, ISE Department, JSSATEB.
   The Project was deeply reviewed by the chief guests Raju Gowda , Honourable Secretary CSI Bangalore Chapter and  Dr Chaya Devi, Associate Professor, ISE Department, JSSATEB. and valuable inputs are given to the students for further improvisation of the work. 31 projects along with external projects from KSSEM, KSIT and APS Engineering Colleges were showcased.
2. Three days Workshop on “The Research Methodology” is organized by Dept. of CSE, DSATM in association with CSI Bangalore Chapter from 21^st to 23^rd Feb 2019. The inauguration is started by invocation song by Ms.Yashswini 8th sem B Section student followed bywelcome address delivered by Dr. C Nandini for the guests, HOD’s of various departments and participants.

Guest of Honor Dr. Sangappa S B, EC Member, ISTE, New Delhi addresses the gathering about importance of research as well as importance of being a good researcher and also the linkage between the progress in society and research by conducting research from a long term career prospective.
Chief Guest Dr. M. H. Bala Subramanya, Professor , IISc, Bengaluru addressed the gathering to take advantage of the workshop and enhance knowledge. He emphasized the importance of research and the proper understanding of research and emphasised that knowledge exploration is possible only through scientific research.
3. Five Day National level Faculty Development Program on Zero-Defect Coding Using Altair MBD for IOT and Embedded Solution from June 28th – 2rd July 2019, Organized by Department of CSE In association with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), DESIGNTECHSYS & CSI-Bangalore Chapter.
4. 33^RD KARNATAKA STATE STUDENT CONVENTION 2020 “ARTIFICIAL , VIRTUAL & ANIMATED COMPUTING” 28^TH & 29^TH FEBRUARY 2020.
   The Convention provides a professional platform for students of various streams of IT to showcase their talent.  Invited talks by experts from the IT industry, exposes the students to the latest developments. This also provides an opportunity for networking between students, professionals and academicians.
   The main aim of State Student Convention is to build a foundation and inspire the young students of engineering to understand and apply the new trends in technology. The convention targets to give a broad overview of Technical Fusion.

   Artificial intelligence (AI), is intelligence demonstrated by machines, unlike the natural intelligence displayed by humans . Virtual Computing is a processing of  resources that aren’t available on their local machines, and virtual computing solves the problem by connecting client machines to a host workstation over a remote network.
   Dr. Sunil Panwar, IFS, Executive Director, Center for Smart Governance, Govt. of Karnataka was the chief guest and Ashok Gopinath, Managing Director, Accenture, Bengaluru.

5. Five Days Webinar Series on Research Focus in Computer Science .Organized by Dept. of Computer Science & Engg , Dayananda Sagar Academy of Technology and Management, Bengaluru in association with CSI Bangalore Chapter from 08-6-2020 to 12-6-2020.
   Inauguration Session of the Webinar done in Board room in  the presence of Dr. B R Lakshmikantha, Principal , Dr C Nandini, Vice Principal, Prof. & CSE Head, Prof. Dr Sandhya N, Prof. Manjunath D R, Prof. Manasa Sandeep and Prof. Jahnavi S from Dept. of CSE , DSATM with the Resource Persons Prof. Raghavendra Prasad , SAC-IEEE, Dept. of ISE RVCE.
